InPouch™ TV

InPouch™ TV is a highly specific and sensitive device allowing for simultaneous growth and observation of Trichomonas vaginalis, the parasite responsible for the STI trichomoniasis. The InPouch™ TV is known as “The Gold Standard” diagnostic for this STI. The proprietary medium of the InPouch™ TV is selective for the transport and growth of T. vaginalis and increases specificity by inhibiting the growth of yeasts, mold, bacteria, and other commensal micro flora. No slide preparation is required to view T. vaginalis in the InPouch™ TV.

InTray™ GC

InTray™ GC allows for simultaneous detection and observation of Neisseria gonorrhoeae, the bacterium responsible for the STI, Gonorrhea. The InTray™ GC system is equipped with an integrated CO2 tablet contained in a sealed inner chamber to prevent degradation during storage. Once the CO2 chamber is punctured and the InTray™ resealed, the tablet generates the required anaerobic atmosphere of CO2 gas, approximately 7%, eliminating the need for costly CO2 incubators.

InTray™ DM

InTray™ GC allows for simultaneous detection and observation of Neisseria gonorrhoeae, the bacterium responsible for the STI, Gonorrhea. The InTray™ GC system is equipped with an integrated CO2 tablet contained in a sealed inner chamber to prevent degradation during storage. Once the CO2 chamber is punctured and the InTray™ resealed, the tablet generates the required anaerobic atmosphere of CO2 gas, approximately 7%, eliminating the need for costly CO2 incubators.

InTray™ Colorex™ Yeast

InTray™ Colorex™ Yeast is a specialized device that allows for simultaneous growth, observation, and chromogenic differentiation of Candida species as well as Malassezia pachydermatis. Samples are traditionally taken from skin, sputum, urine, or vagnial swabs.

InTray™ Colorex™ VRE

Colorex™ VRE is a selective and differential chromogenic medium, containing vancomycin, intended for use in isolation of pure cultures of vancomycin resistant Enterococcus faecium and Enterococcus faecalis (VRE) from laboratory samples. Further, colony color is used to differentiate transmissible forms of resistance (i.e., VanA VanB resistance) from intrinsically resistant (i.e. VanC, VanD, VanE, etc.) strains. The test can be performed with samples of composed of mixed populations of bacteria, e.g stool, biological fluids, surface streaks, etc.

InTray™ Colorex™ KPC

Colorex™ KPC is a selective and differential chromogenic medium containing a carbapenem selective agent intended for use in obtaining a pure culture of gram-negative bacteria expressing reduced susceptibility to carbapenem-class antibiotics. The test can be performed with samples of composed of mixed populations of bacteria, e.g stool, biological fluids, surface streaks, etc. The InTray™ Colorex™ KPC inhibits the growth of yeasts, mold, and fungi, resulting in 100% sensitivity and 98.4% selectivity for the growth of gram- negative bacteria expressing reduced susceptibility to carbapenem class antibiotics.

InTray™ Colorex™ ESBL

Colorex™ ESBL Agar is a selective and differential chromogenic medium, containing an extended-spectrum beta-lactam selective agent, intended for use as a plating technique to obtain a pure culture of Enterobacteriaceae that produce extended-spectrum beta- lactamase (ESBL). The test can be performed with samples of composed of mixed populations of bacteria, e.g stool, biological fluids, surface streaks, etc. The InTray™ Colorex™ ESBL inhibits the growth of yeasts, mold, fungi, and non-ESBL bacteria.

InTray™ Colorex™ Salmonella

Colorex™ Salmonella agar is a chromogenic medium for selective isolation and differentiation of Salmonella species, e.g. Enterobacteriaceae and other enteric bacteria. With Colorex™ Salmonella medium, Salmonella spp. including S. typhi, are distinguishable by colony color. The test can be performed with samples of composed of mixed populations of bacteria, e.g stool, blood, biological fluids, surface streaks, etc. High sensitivity and specificity of the medium lead to a higher detection rate of Salmonella spp. Selective agents inhibit the growth of gram-positive organisms, yeasts, mold, fungi, and other bacteria, resulting in 100% sensitivity and 89% specificity for Salmonella compared to 78% specificity with traditional Hektoen Agar.

InTray™ Pseudomonas Isolation Agar

Pseudomonas Isolation (PI) Agar is a selective and differential medium for isolation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an opportunistic pathogen that can infect eyes, ears, burns and wounds. It is also a leading cause of hospital acquired infections. PI Agar is prepared according to a slight modification of King’s “Medium A” and includes Irgasan™, a potent broad spectrum antimicrobial that is not active against Pseudomonas. As well as being selective, PI Agar is formulated to enhance the formation of the blue or blue- green pyocyanin pigment by P. aeruginosa

InTray™ PDA

The InTray™ PDA allows for simultaneous growth and observation of many species of organisms including yeasts, molds, and fungus, |as well as the cultivation and sporulation of various dermatophytes. Potato Dextrose Agar is recommended by the American Public Health Association (APHA) for plate counts of yeasts and molds in the examination of foods and dairy products.

InTray™ SDA

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar (SDA) is recommended in the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) for use in performing total combined mold and yeast counts (Microbial Limits Tests). InTray™ SDA and InTray™ SDA + PVG are general-purpose microbiology devices that allow for simultaneous growth and observation of pathogenic and non-pathogenic fungi, including yeasts and dermatophytes. The InTray™ SDA is slightly inhibitory against bacteria and is designed for sampling a large spectrum of fungal growth. Bacterial inhibition is further enhanced with the introduction of the antibiotics Polymyxin B, Vancomycin and Gentamicin in the InTray™ SDA + PVG, for use in samples with suspected high levels of bacterial contamination. For isolation of fungi from potentially contaminated specimens, best practice suggests the selective InTray™ SDA + PVG should be run in parallel with the non- selective InTray™ SDA.

InTray™ Brilliant Green

InTray™ Brilliant Green enables the growth and observation of Salmonella species other than S. typhi from stool and other clinical samples as well as environmental samples. The use of Brilliant Green Agar is included in procedures in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater.
